How to Report or File an Automobile
or Homeowners Insurance Claim

You can report your claim in one of two ways:
  1. You can call our Claims Department at 516-681-9400, press 5
  2. You can fill out an Auto Incident Form or Property Loss Form by printing the form from our website, filling it out, and FAXing it to us at 516-681-9766, or emailing it to us at claimsestm@tscinsurance.com.
 
  Remember, you are going to be in contact with your claim representative throughout the claim handling process, so you will have plenty of opportunity to provide additional information. The important thing is to report your claim as soon as possible, even if you do not have all the information. The sooner you report your claim, the sooner we can help you and start the claim process.

Auto Claim

Some of the information you might need includes:
  Have your policy number ready and know the full name of the policyholder.
  Report your claim as soon as possible.
  Date and time of the occurrence.
  Type of loss or damage (accident / theft / vandalism).
  Location of the occurrence.
  Related injuries.
  Others involved (Please have their names).
  The damage to your vehicle.
  Whether authorities such as police, fire department, or ambulance were notified.

Property Claim

Some of the information you might need includes:
  Have your policy number ready and know the full name of the policyholder.
  Report your claim as soon as possible.
  When and what was damaged or lost.
  How the damage or loss occurred.
  Extent of damages.
  If you feel your home is not safe to live in.
  Related injuries.
  If temporary repairs are needed.
  Whether authorities such as police, fire department, or ambulance were notified.

Catastrophic event

Some of the information you might need includes:
  Have your policy number ready and know the full name of the policyholder.
  Report your claim as soon as possible.
  Provide all the phone numbers where you can be contacted throughout the claim process. Even include temporary phone numbers.
  Fax your paperwork to your claims adjuster at 516-681-9766. If you have any questions or concerns, let the adjuster know so they can be addressed immediately.
  Be available for the adjuster to inspect any damaged property.
  Provide receipts, photographs, manuals, videos or other documentation of damaged property.
